Common Issues

"membership or LTA required":

If you see an alert at jjwxc.net saying "membership or LTA required for VIP content translation", please make sure that you have signed in to your account in the Smooth Reader extension. You can do so by clicking the G (older SR version) or profile icon from the top right corner of the extension popup or options screen.

For security reasons, signing in at the SmoothReads.World website DOES NOT sign you in to the extension, nor vice versa.

If you have signed in to the extension, and are still seeing the alert, please make sure that you have an active membership. There is a link to your SmoothReads.World account from the profile dropdown menu in the extension popup / options screen.
It hangs in Orion (iPhone or iPad):

If you are using the Orion browser on an iPhone or iPad, please understand that the most recent Orion versions (since version 1.3.9, released on Sep 30, 2024) don't support Smooth Reader. The last version of Orion that supported Smooth Reader was version 1.3.8.

We, and some users, have filed tickets with Orion for the issue, such as this one, and this one. If you want to see SR on Orion again, please take a moment to upvote the tickets!
Broken sentences:

If you see broken sentences from time to time, please make sure that you have disabled automatic translation for Chinese from the browser. In Chrome, you can find the settings for Google Translate at chrome://settings/languages
