What You Need

Translation Tool

• We recommend disabling Chrome's automatic translation of Simplified Chinese and using mainly Smooth Reader (version 0.64 or higher) for translation, because Chrome's automatic translation will fail for a particular image captcha (see "Common Issues").
• Optional: Chrome's built-in translation function. Smooth Reader occasionally misses to translate some text 😅. Use Chrome's built-in translation to supplement if it becomes an issue.

Accounts

• A supported email account, e.g. gmail account.
• A WeChat account, necessary for some security verification steps. It is fairly easy to install the WeChat mobile app and sign up for an account, so we won't go through it here.
• A Paypal account to top up JJ points.

Some Patience

The process isn't hard, but since it's probably your first time registering at JJWXC, it does require some patience, as there are quite a few captcha challenges and security verifications. Just hang in there — it'll be all worth it in the end! 😊

Registering & Binding WeChat Account

Registering at JJWXC

It is relatively straightforward to register an account with a supported email address. Go to JJWXC's Register page, and click the “Register by Email” tab.

After completing the captcha verification by moving the slider, click the "Get Verification Code" button to get a verification code sent to the entered email address.

Once you enter the verification code and click “Next Step”, you will be redirected to the login/register page. Enter the credentials to login, and you'll see the security verification again. The verification uses WeChat by default, but you can choose to verify by email here.

You will be greeted with a popup for setting a nickname when you log in successfully for the first time.

Binding WeChat Account

After logging in, click on your nickname at the top right corner of the screen to go to your user account page. Scroll to the bottom, and click "Modify" to add your WeChat ID.

Then, go to your WeChat app, tap the plus icon at the top right corner, and select "Add Contacts". Search for "jjwxcxs" from the top search bar, tap the first result, and on the next screen tap "Follow".

Now you have a way to send and receive JJWXC verification codes without using a mainland China phone number. 😊

Topping Up JJ Points and Purchasing Chapters

Topping Up

From the top of your user account page, mouse over “Top Up” and choose “International Card” to buy JJ points with Paypal. The minimum charge is $15 USD.

If you don't see the "International Card" option when you mouse over "Top Up", just click the "Top Up" button itself, and you will be able to select the "International Card" option on the next screen.

You might need to fill out the security questions form when you try to complete the payment process.

You will then need to answer the security questions in the next screen before the top-up can succeed.

Purchasing Chapters

Go to the novel index page, for example, the index page for TGCF, and click on the title of a VIP chapter. This will bring you to the chapter purchase screen. Click “Select All” for all chapters, and you will see a popup dialogue asking you to confirm that you want to select all chapters. Click “OK” to confirm.

Scroll to the bottom, and click “Confirm Order”. When you purchase for the first time, or after a long hiatus, you will get a popup dialog asking you to go through security verification.

Clicking the blue link will open another tab for verification. It might differ from person to person, but you will very likely see a verification form that requires a mainland china phone number, ID, or WeChat account, and these are the only options.

Choose WeChat verification from the very bottom, complete the captcha challenge, and click "Get Verification Code".

Then, go to your WeChat app and find the JJ account you have followed, you should see something like this at the bottom:

Enter the 4-digit code to finish the verification. When you see “Verification Successful”, close this tab, and click “Confirm Order” again on the purchase page to finish the purchase.

Congratulations! You now own the chapters! 🙌😀

Common Issues

If you fail to enter the correct password at login a few times in a row, you will need to complete a captcha challenge, which requires that you click the characters in the image in the order specified by the quoted characters below:

DO NOT USE CHROME TRANSLATE FOR THIS! It will translate the characters below the captcha image, and you won't know the correct order to click.

The same captcha might pop up at other places, too, so be careful when you see it.
