Account Registration and Membership

• Account Registration: You must register for an account to access certain features like posting reviews and interacting with other users. You can create an account using your existing social media login credentials (e.g., Google). Registration requires agreeing to these Terms of Use.
• Free Content Access: We offer various translated content, such as free chapters from the publishing websites, that are accessible to all users, regardless of membership status.
• Membership Tiers: Access to premium translated content requires a paid membership. We offer different membership tiers with varying levels of access and benefits, including Long-Term Access (LTA) credits. Details of each membership tier are available on our website.
• Long-Term Access (LTA) Credits:
  • LTA credits allow you to redeem access to VIP chapter translations of your favorite titles.
  • These credits are earned based on your membership tier and can be used to maintain access to content even if your membership lapses.
  • The credits themselves may expire, but any content redeemed with LTA credits will remain accessible indefinitely.
  • In the event a title is removed from our library, we will refund the LTA credits used to redeem access to that title as follows:
    • Full credit refund if the title was redeemed less than one month ago.
    • Half credit refund if the title was redeemed over one month but less than three months ago.
    • No credit refund if the title was redeemed over three months ago.
• Smooth Reader Extension: Smooth Reader is a browser extension that enhances your reading experience by allowing you to access content in different languages. To use this extension, you must have an active SmoothReads.World account. The extension uses your account credentials for authentication.
• Renewal and Cancellation:
  • Memberships are billed on a recurring basis.
  • You may cancel your membership at any time. Cancellation will cease billing from the next billing cycle and revoke access to membership-only content.
  • Any changes to your membership, such as upgrades or downgrades, will also take effect at the beginning of your next billing cycle.

License to Use Content

• Scope: We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the translations on our site or via the Smooth Reader browser extension for personal, non-commercial use.
• Restrictions: You may not use the content for any commercial use or redistribute, reproduce, or transmit it in any form without our prior written consent. Any unauthorized use, including but not limited to scraping or data mining, may result in suspension or termination of your account and access to the service.

User Contributions

• General: Users may post reviews, comments, and other content.
• Permissions: By posting, you grant SmoothReads.World a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and display such content throughout the world in any media.
• Prohibited Content: You may not post content that is illegal, obscene, threatening, defamatory, infringing of intellectual property rights, or otherwise injurious to third parties or objectionable.

Interactions with Other Users

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users. Clear Translation LLC is not liable for the actions of any users.

Service Availability and Outages

While we strive to ensure the continuous availability of its services and your access to translated content, occasional interruptions may occur. Our service may be temporarily unavailable due to issues such as system maintenance, upgrades, or technical failures beyond our control. Clear Translation LLC does not guarantee uninterrupted access to the service and is not liable for any loss or damage arising from the inability to access or use the service during outages.

We will endeavor to inform users of any planned maintenance in advance and provide ongoing updates during any unplanned outages through our website and/or other communication channels. Our customer support team will be available to assist with any queries or issues during these times.

In cases of significant service disruption, we will evaluate the circumstances and may, at its discretion, offer compensation or extensions to paid membership periods as deemed appropriate. We remain committed to maintaining a high standard of service and minimizing inconvenience during such disruptions.
